What is Maya Abdominal Therapy?

These centuries old techniques were brought to the western world by Dr. Rosita Arvigo who studied with world renowned shaman, Don Elijio Panti. These specific techniques are used to help align & reposition organs, as well as to increase blood flow to the gut and to the entire pelvic region, effecting reproductive & digestive health.  Additionally, this work may well balance emotional health and promote overall functioning of the whole human body.

Mira, a licensed massage therapist, is passionate about fostering optimal health in women and female-bodied people. She specializes in supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, C-sections, hysterectomies, fibroids, cysts, prolapse, and more.

Mira's journey towards holistic healing began at a young age. Growing up at the renowned Esalen Institute in California, she was surrounded by healers and teachers who ignited her interest in personal growth. This influence continued with her parents, who are massage therapists and yoga instructors who owned multiple spas.

At 18, Mira embarked on a transformative adventure in India, exploring meditation and energy healing. In Kerala, Southern India Mira obtained her first Yoga Teacher Certification (Sivananda). Since then, she's continuously expanded her skillset with an additional Yoga Teacher's Certificate, training in  Qi Gong, Breathwork and sound healing.

Mira's academic background strengthens her therapeutic approach. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psycho-Somatic Practices Centered Within the Female Pelvis from Hampshire College. Additionally, she is a trained birth doula and a massage therapist certified in Tul'ix Indigenous Arts (formerly the Arvigo® Institute) and the Maya Abdominal Therapy Collective®. She has also trained in Holistic Pelvic Care® with Tami Lyn Kent.

Currently, Mira is completing a master's degree in Somatic Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies.

By integrating her knowledge, experience, and commitment to continuous learning, Mira creates a comprehensive approach to improving her clients' health and well-being. Her passion, positive spirit, and skilled touch are ready to guide you on your path to optimal wellness.
